Famous European Crowns

I talk a lot about

monarchies are famous in the history of the world i'm talking about emperors kings queens etc
but today I will talk about the crowns themselves as in the material items worn in the head
lord i made a video on this topic before but I did not enter details and the history of each
crown so that's it I will do it in this video because of the time I have

I have limited myself  10 famous European crowns if you are interested in me doing a same
video for other parts of the world let me know ideas  so I chose 10 crowns most of them
it still exists today and I have tried to find it at least one crown in all major regions in Europe
I will pass through them by the way chronology which means I’ll be looking great recently
created the crown first and the old crown ends so let's get started the first crown we will look at
you are one who can note that this is a state of affairs the crown of the united kingdom
and it is the one worn by the queen special occasions as when delivering his speech at a meeting
opening of in parliament but the first thing you do you need to know about this crown
that he is not an official crown nor is it a crown you see in Britain heraldry in fact the
UK has two large crowns there is a Saint edward crown present used only anointing is

what you see UK coat and on several other coats of arms like Canada but it really is
for UK the second largest crown in the empire crown that you see more often therefore
one I will talk about while the crowning crown is heavy about 5 this kilogram weighs
about half that number it weighs in at 2.3 pounds so a bit easier to wear on the head but
just because it's simple that doesn't mean it's a small thing and the crown of Saint Edward is 444
precious stones on it are the crown of royalty has more than six times that total compiled
in 2868 17 diamonds sapphire 11 emeralds and hundreds of pearls so how much importance
well no one has been able to put a exact figure in it but estimates I have seen put
it somewhere close to two billion us dollars but much more interesting that
the value comes from one stone this large diamond of 317 carats before
known as cullinan ii this diamond sometimes confused with coenor diamonds but it is actually
quite different coinor diamond it is actually on top of a previously used crown by the queen
elizabeth's mother but this diamond the crown of the kingdom was cut to size
The highest quality diamond ever found called Cullinan diamond was discovered in 1905
in South Africa he was cut nine the main stones are the largest cullinan the other is placed
on a royal object used by king of Britain second in size as I already have meaning that
which is in this the imperial state crowned three colonies at once four are part of the brooch
sometimes worn by the queen and the rest stones made of various materials other pieces
of jewelry used by the queen as well you will notice that I have been in love with this crown
in 1838 apparently the British empire is in full swing older than that something various crowns
used British kings over the centuries made and reworked many times the current only goes back
time of queen victoria however they have other parts that are numerous the most important

old contains holy edwards sapphire is found locally up and is said to have been in anointing ring
of king edward confessor one of the the Anglo-Saxon last kings before the gentleman to win
and directly above the cullinan diamond the black princess ruby strange is not the ruby
actually a spindle but very large unbroken rope on the ground it goes back to 1367 again
named after edward the black prince son of king edward iii you will notice that it has
a small hole in it that has been placed another stone I heard that reason because this is what it is
one time a hole was drilled a large stone for the feathers to be placed on it eventually you
will realize that I said that the crown dates back to 1838 but I also said cullinan diamond not found
until 1905. so what does it offer well in the beginning a stone called start the sapphire was
before there the cullinan 2 is now seated start sapphire was owned by James ii then ended
up in the hand of variety start plaintiffs to the throne after the Hanover house took over
but in 1807 king George iii they bought a stone, and it ended up that way top back in crown
jewel type the symbolic movement continues crown but pushed back ok the next crown
we will look at here in the corona tubular from Spain and soon you may have noticed the word
the most talked about corona words this year note that the corona is simply a Latin word
meaning crown coronaviruses get their name from the fact that they have these little ones
bits appear that way crown here the phrase corona tumular easily it said a crown of burial
and this is because of this the crown is made the funeral of elizabeth farnese wife of the first
bourbon king of spain philip v you will notice that this crown very different from all other crowns
which we will look at by saying it is very simple it has various heraldry in the world
below however There there are no gems in it and they are not done of solid gold actually just
plated with gold silver this is because espain are long tradition simply to proclaim kings
instead of actually crowning them for example will do never see the image of the current king
felipe vi wearing this crown on the day he began to reign sitting there next to him as a symbol
but never once put on the head it just appears that different countries understand the concept
royal in different ways and be different Customs surrounding th
